Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    I want to get Keyless Remote...

    Hey I want to get keyless remote (just for the doors no security system) I went to a site (www.keylessride.com) and I put in my VIN number and they said I can get a remote but I would have to go to a dealer for programming... so does my car (1993 EX) come with it and I just didn't put in the options when my dad bought it or... do I need to install the whole keyless system in at the dealer? Has anybody done this before and can help me out?

    The is an alarm company named Prestige that make a keyless remote starter with out the alarm it just unlocks the doors and starts the car up but this is optional don't have to have it.

      What I want to know is, if I get the remote, how much will it cost for me to get it programmed at the dealer?

        any stereo/alarm installer shop should be able to order and install a keyless entry system.

        there are cheap kits on ebay that are only keyless entry and not alarms... just search around

          if I understand correctly you just want to buy a remote and have it programmed to work your locks. That's not possible unless you already have a aftermarket keyless entry system, but you're missing the remote. In which case you would need to locate the unit under your dash, determine the brand and model and then order a replacement remote. There was not a factory keyless entry available for the cb7.

          If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacement anyway.

            That site just sells remotes....not systems.
            You need a keyless system.

              Ok Thx. I'll see if I do have a unit and if I don't i'll get a system installed. What do you guys recommend?
