ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

A functional BOV will require being FI, but you can always get the emulated BOV sounds.

Yes you can have a BOV on a auto. Yes you will need some sort of FI (forced induction) to have it "make the noise" There is a FI section on this forum Read up it has a ton of info. Good luck and hope we helped.

some people i know say it sounds like the car is sneezing. so when i planned on doing a turbo setup in my cb7, i told them that my car was going to get a serious case of allergies. oh and with the H22 i was dreaming of, i would pobally run a low 11, high 10.

There are a few device that make sound like a BOV check the internet, The best one are a speaker type that make the sound when you press a button or let off the gas petal.

but a warning that if you don't have a real turbo to back it up, any real performance car you race(thinking you have turbo) will go all out on you. It no fun when every car with nitrous and super charger/turbo pick on your car and leave you 10 car length behind especially when your with your boys and girls. Just some friendly advise, save up and put a real turbo on, it really cheap for a DSM turbo setup. The fake BOV can cost up to $150, while a DSM turbo kit It will cost the same prices as your 4 set of tires or an new rims. It your car so have fun with it

Wow, thanks guys for not being jerks... I expected to find a mess in here!

The fake BOV is a bad idea... It's one of those things that simply shouldn't exist. It's worse than spinner hubcaps. At least the spinner hubcaps accomplish the same thing as the real deal, albeit in a shitty fashion.

The purpose of a BOV is to prevent the speeding compressed air from damaging the turbo when you let off the gas and close the throttle body. Without a BOV, the result is much like holding your nose while sneezing. The sound is a byproduct... one that has been emphasized by the manufacturers because people like it. I've heard that many of the loud BOV's are actually less effective... they aren't designed to work well, just to be loud.
