ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

water in the gas tank... HELP!!

well.. i was told my brother pour gas in my car cuz he was fukin mad at me over some bullshit story.. but to make it short. the car had low gas.. he pour bout HALF gallons in the tank i heard.. i crank it up now it at the part where it wont crank. now since it's water. i pour about 2-3 gallon of gas in so the car wont feel the water really cuz when adding more gas then water.. it'll become gas.. but a weak one depending how much gas u put in. i pull the fuel injector out and turn on and off the key to have them shoot the gas out (water mix).. but while i was attemptin to crank the car earlier i killed the battery so its low.. but once i replace the battery should i be able to crank the car or i'm completely fucked since the water went in?

if it was low on gas in the first place, so basiclaly all it had was water in the tank, i would have just drained it right then, and filled it with gas. theres a drain plug right on the bottom of the gas tank.

you should have poured in several bottles of HEET's water remover and or syphoned out the gas.

makes you wonder why you did that, ey?

the one thing that id like to know when i read threads like this, is how the hell did water make its way into the tank?
          either:
#1. you have a red gas can, and the last time you filled it up, by some chance the gas station was pumping out pure water.
#2. you like to keep your red gas can full of water, just in case... you... need water?
#3. you like to keep gas in water bottles, and expected this past water bottle to have gas in it.
#4. you have a random bucket full of clear fluid. why youd have a bucket of water, i have no clue. also, why youd use an unlabeled, open bucket of gasoline (which happened to be water), also is confusing.

so yeah, wtf? cha-ching, in honor of the doc.

well the problem is i didnt know my brother pour water in my car till i start crankin and it wont start. then i got worried then i start talkin to people bout my car wont start then my brother step up and admit that he pour water in my gas tank cuz he was mad.. that's when i realize i had water in the tank AFTER it wouldnt crank. so i bought bout 3 gallon of gas full it up.. well i hold the gas pedal down and crank it.. there was moment that it nearly crank and start but battery was dyin ya kno but anyways if i take the fuel line out and crank it on and off on it off till about 3 mins.. but wut bout the water inside the engine? will it just go away after cranking it?

it got it's way in the gas tank i'm assumin he had a water bottle and just pour it in . pretty simple..

#1 nope. i swear to god when i went to the gas station there was a van outside called tank inspector. where there's like 3 men open up the gas pump and was inspecting some gas. i even ask if the gas was good they said yes cuz i was also puttin gas in for my impala.

#2... umm.. no. dont even have a red gas can. my dad does for cutting grass. it was empty and i borrow it.

#3. wow.. why would i wanna keep gas in a water bottle?

              #4. uhh.. no.

you should pull a spark plug to see if it actually made it's way to the engine.

by now i'm sure theres condensation.

anyhow.. should you get your car back up and running, you should get one of those gas caps that have a key lock on it to prevent this from ever happening again.

true.. but umm.. let's say the water did get in my engine thru the fuel line.. am i fuckeD? or will it evaporate or what? what i'ma do with some water left inside? maybe i could fill a lil bit gas inside the injector so when i crank it it'll crank on the gas and burn the water out or.. what?

personally, id drain the tank, and fill it with gas, as well as some dry gas (whatever brand/type, HEET makes some, its made to remove water from the gas). disconnect the fuel line where it connects to the rail and put the end of it in a bucket and turn the key on and off a few times to let it pump gas to get the water out of the lines. id replace the filter if its old. then from there, let it run a little boggy until it clears up.

on the bottom of your gas tank there is a bolt (I believe it is 17mm) put a pan under it, remove bolt, when you have removed most of the gas (water). put bolt back in, pour in more gas (just a little bit) turn the key on and allow the fuel pump to pump new gas. now redrain gas tank. pour gas in and water remover, and try cranking over engine. If it doesn't start proceed to kill brother.
