ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    relay

so last night i was looking at my car.i checked all the fuses under dash they were fine.i checked the ones under the hood and found a few blown fuses, like interior lights and stuff like that, but i notice i had no cooling fan relay.that could be why it overheats a little. but when i shut the car off i hear the fan come on.could i get that relay at advanced or autozone i would i have to order it somewhere. whenn i was driving to work this morning i was in 4th gear just coasting down a hill and when i got back on the gas it had no power at all. i would hit the gas and the rpms just went down.so i pulled to the side of the road shut it off for a minute then started it and it was fine.thats thee only time it ever happened.any thought on what it could have been. thanx for any help :P

    Damn

It could be a number of things.... You have to have a starting point.... Did you check your Batt Cable so on and so forth.... When you order a main relay it will take about 2 days... I went and got mine from a local salvage yard...

Im not sure about your relay situation, but the cooling fans turning on AFTER you shut the car off is normal... 9 out of 10 cb7s do that.

        its something automatics do.

you could try autozone, but a junkyard would be cheaper (or free...). if neither, the dealership.

Take a look at your engine ground as well.... Did you put your engine in or did someone do the work for you?

Is there a thread with all of the fuse/relay locations and functions?

the fusebox covers have diagrams, theres a fusebox in the driver kickpanel as well as in the corner of the engine bay.

i bought it a couple of weeks ago and just fixing a few problems before fixing it all up.when i was replacing my distributer cap and rotor today i noticed a hose was not connected.its suppose to go to the purge control valve on the charcoal canister.i cant put it back on because someone broke where you connect it.what is the purpose of the charcoal cannister?could that be why the car is running bad?should i plug that hose up untill i get a new cannister?

I think your ride should be fine with/out the charcoal cannister plug up. I think that is for smog/emission readings..... I could be wrong...
