Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

NO!!!
once you take the bolts out, it doesnt just fall out... the input shaft is slid into the side of the motor. you need to slide the tranny away from the motor a couple inches until the shaft is all the way out, THEN it will be loose.

instead of taking out the radius rod, i usually just take out the front crossmember, center cross beam (that goes under the oil pan) AND the radius rods all as one piece. and being that the front mount attached to tehfront crossmember, the front mount will also be removed. if you loosen the two studs on the driver side mount, the motor will hang downward and give you enough room for the tranny to clear the side of the engine bay. if you do this, make sure you put a jack under the motor to make sure it doesnt hang too low, and possibly put enough strain on teh rear/side mount to break the rubber in them.
luckily the 5spd tranny is smaller and much easier to handle, its easier to get it to fit when installing. the auto is a mammoth box of heavy metal...

yo did you get the bolts that go in through the tranny to the motor? there were 4 bolts that went through the transmission into the engine on mine. if all the bolts holding the trANNY TO the motor are off the tranny should just slide apart from the motor. also are you just gonna let your tranny fall to the ground or do you have a way of lowering it and raising it?Last edited by dbsharp; 10-04-2006, 04:36 PM.spin city

okay. that WORKS!! loosen the driver side motor mount. .and the front mount.. so i lower the motor and tranny one at a time and it start lowering. it works! okay. now am i suppose to be PULLIN the tranny outward and it'll come out and nicely lower the tranny jack and pull it out from under the car that's it?
