ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Radiator and Condensor fan motors...same??

Ive tried searching and havent been able to find what Im looking for.

Are the radiator and condensor fan motors the same? My condensor fan is out and would like to know if I bought a used radiator fan if the motor would work in the condensor fan.

    Thanks guys.

Call up Honda and ask them? or go to local parts store and see if the part number is the same.

if you mean the two fans you are using in the car, no they are not the same, i believe the condenser fan is metal and blows out, the radiator fan is plastc and blows in.

also the radiator and radiator fan are interchangable with certain preludes

but correct me if i am wrong

Ok...thanks for the responses guys..but it seems Nail05 is the only one that saw "Are the radiator and condensor fan MOTORS the same? My condensor fan is out and would like to know if I bought a used radiator fan if the MOTOR would work in the condensor fan.

Seems I have found the answer to my own question though. The physical motor IS the same, and I have found a brand new one for $36 at www.partsamerica.com (which is the "vendor" of sorts for Advanced Auto) so I will be getting it there. All I will need to do is splice in the connector from my non-working fan.

And both fans blow towards the engine by the way. It would be pointless for a fan to blow towards the front of the car as the car is moving forwards. It would be working against itself.

            Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah...says so right in the Haynes manual. Im probably going to pick one up this weekend depending on the check. I have to do front brakes and oil change, and cv joint change...so may not have enough yet. Supposed to be pretty nice for the next week...so not sure that I need it yet. Shoot...went through the 100+ degree summer with it out..so shouldnt be to bad for the fall.
