ello fellas, ok; upon removing my intakes airbox (the one that sits inside the fender) from my F22A6, there where 2 additional plastic tubes, both went from the airbox, to the filters air box, however one of these had some type of sensor adapted to it (weather its some type of MAF sensor i donnot know) my problem is that for a while afterward it was giving me shit... the motor would sputter, it would crap out tuns of smoke, and hesitate when i came to a stop... no codes thrown however... i did put a cap on the vacuum line that went from this sensor to the throttle body.... and for the time being its acting ok sence last night (havent driven to work yet!) my question is, is there a way to "eliminate" this sensor? and what is caulsing this problem? any information at all would be nice... thank you!

sensor issue, need some advice

its not really a sensor, is a solenoid thats used to silence the intake under 3000 rpms, and open it up higher than that. you can remove the plunger and wiring and hoses and any of the tubing from the intake system without any problems, the only thing you need is a tube running from the throttle body to a filter (whether it be a short ram, stock intake and box, etc). the vacuum line that you removed should be capped off at the intake manifold like you said you did. your sputtering has to be related to something else...
