ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    DIY: Intake

Hey, i did an intake upgrade this weekend. IT SOUNDS SICK!!!!! It cost me 20$ and tax for the high flow cone filter, and $1.50 for a 3 inch hose clamp!!! There were noticable gains right away, and its a black housed red filter, so it looks like its supposed to be there, unlike some i see!!!!!!at around 3500-4000 RPM, it screams...im 16 and i took my mom for a ride, she said "it sounds.......beefier!" all i know is its the best use iv ever made out of a 20 dollar bill. My friend likes it soo much, he wants to try it on his kia!! (i dont think it will work because of the mass air flow sensor) When im done painting my valve cover, ill post some pics, well ill try, seeing as im new to this site! THANX TO ALL THE 'DIY: INTAKE' POSTS OUT THERE!!!!!!

I modded my first one with the stuff already there, and it was Awesome sounding and got a small power gain in the lower rpm range.

All I did was move some stuff around and used some tape, and there you have it, ghetto rigged intake.

Butt dyno and sound wise yea might trick your mind into it being faster. But really you arent really gaining that much. As for painting your valve cover I say go for it but be sure to replace your valve cover gasket and tube seals since your takin them off might as well. Just paint your VC right so nothing goes wrong and you should be set.

                      Yuhp

Yea, i am pretty excited, but its because im just happy with it! The power gains were'nt that CRAZY, but like i said, at that certain power range, it seems to pull a lil better than before! and yes, it's a high flow filter on the stock piping....but it still looks good. THANX 4 THE INPUT!!
