ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    New Clutch is slipping!!??

So I just spent a load of cash on a new clutch and now it seems to be slipping.

I took it back to my mechanic (who I trust and is pretty good), and he bled it. But that did nothing. I also put in a new slave cylinder a few months ago.

Could the clutch job have been done improperly??
    Any ideas guys...

is your clutch master cylinder adjusted too far out? are you sure its only when hot? my friend replaced his CMC and never adjusted it, and it was always slipping, he could hardly get past 30mph.

loosen the nut and try rotating it a few times the direction opposite of the blue arrow, and retighten.

Thanks for the pic Mike . Ya mine doesn't slip all the time, it definitely only does it when it is very hot. By hot I don't mean that it's hot from me driving it too hard, just on very hot days or after driving around the city for awhile.

Do you think it's the same thing as your buddy? Should I still try adjusting it?
      Could it be my tranny?

i hated my clutch and thought i got ripped off until after the break in period.

Thanks for the help... I'll give that a try. Originally, I was kinda thinking that the pedal needed to be adjusted because when I got it back (new clutch) the pedal felt like there wasn't much clutch there right away.

my clutch does the same thing. when its hot out it slips, especialy when theres no airflow (stop n go traffic). ive adjusted the MC a million ways with no luck, would it be possible that i need a new MC? The clutch is brand new just broken in, Also would the release bearing shit out like that? just when its hot? its gettin hot these days and its startin to piss me off.

                thanks

Since it is a new clutch, it could just not be broken in yet, how many miles do you have on the new clutch? I would definetly check your pedal adjustment though.

already broken in. but its ok i busted the clutch last night dropping it into 2nd racing someone right over a fukin pot hole this the 2nd time i busted those cheap partsource dynapak or watever brand it is, i think im better off investing in something with some more strength to it.

also i have the m2b4 tranny and was wondering if the LSD puts more stress on the clutch springs? because i keep breakin em right out of the clutch plate... the clutch i can get replaced it has 3 year warranty but still.. i dont wanna pull the tranny off every 6 months..

if your going for the H22 swap i would just get the LSD Tranny because it's interchangable with the F or H series and as far as an ebay clutch just find a name Brand clutch that is new from a factory.
