ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

it only builds pressure if the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder is closed...

...again: are you following the directions in a repair manual perfectly?

You would think that you would see the leaking fluid somewhere. Anyway, move from one end to the other and tighten everything while looking for the leak. If you can't solve the outside leak then check on the internals of the clutch master and slave cylinders, the seals might be leaking.

i think i might have pressed the clutch while the clutch line was out when i was repacing it....would that make a difference? i no that the master slave cylinder is good for sure.

mike....the bleeding procedure is exactly like doing the brakes right? i pump the pedal a few times then hold down n bleed. tried it so many times but the clutch still doesnt build pressure.

i just checked all the lines. disconnected them n pressed the clutch and all the lines are fine. the fluid comes out evrytime i press the clutch. i checked all the lines from the master cylinder all the way to the slave cylinder. then i pumped the clutch pedal almost 100 times n still no pressure. i dono wuts going on

When I replaced my slave cylinder I had this problem. The pedal was dead and I couldn't get any pressure at all. Try pumping the slave cylinder by hand and keep the resivoir cap off so you can keep it filled. Worked for me after about 5 times. Then when you get some pressure bleed it the proper way with the clutch pedal and bleed screw on the slave. Good luck.

what do u mean by pumping the slave cylinder by hand? do u mean just moving the ribber piece?

Well when i changed over from auto to manual, it took a long time for me to build up pressure. I thought that i had forgotten something and was like this sucks. But it finally built pressure after about 30 mins of pumping and bleeding. No joke.

yeah, you have to keep on pumpin even if you feel like you've already pump so much. I remember this feeling and I almost quit because I couldn't build pressure and it took so long to get it. Have another person to help you pump and for moral support

Ok, there's a piston coming out of the slave cylinder that is covered with the rubber. It goes onto the clutch fork? I think it's called. Pump it by pressing on the clutch fork to push that piston in, you will see the air bubbles coming out of the resivoir. Do that a few times until you get pressure at the pedal.

thats exactly what i did today. i noticed the air bubles comin out from the resevior and the piston did start to get harder/build pressure. when i went to pump the clutch pedal, it was still dead
