clutch pedal to the floor

i just finished installing my new clutch and put the tranny back on. i went to bleed the clutch today but when i pressed it the pedal went rite to the floor. evrthing iss hooked up and i tried pumping the brakes but that didnt work either. does anyone know wuts rong?

Hmm, bleed it a few more times.
If it does keep falling to the floor afterwards, either your:
1)Clutch master cylinder is bad,
2)Your clutch slave cylinder is bad,
3)your clutch hose needs to be replaced.

But that's odd, Im sure it was working before you installed your new clutch; i hope your master cylinder is working properly...it should all regain pressure...check for leaks, especially the clutch hose and see if you see brake fluid around the clutch pedal, dripping on your kicks.

well i have a hole in the clutch line but i taped it up to c if the pedal would get any better but its still the same

The line was probably empty, you just need to add fluid, pump and bleed, repeat until you get pressure. It may take a while to get all the air out....

You cannot fix the line with tape!! It's a high-pressure line.... it needs to be replaced if it's damaged.

yeah man, i dont suggest you drive your car, or attempt to drive even if you regain pressure. I suggest you get on the horn and get a new line ASAP.
Pressure is what makes the clutch pedal stay firm...

trust me man, my master, slave and line all failed on me during rushhour NYC morning traffic.

thats the point, you bleed the clutch so it doesnt go to the floor anymore.

and tape the line up? its a high pressure line, and you just squirted all of the fluid out of the line.

finish hooking everything up properly, get a chiltons manual, and follow their bleeding procedure.
