ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    P.O'ed about my car

    UPDATE!!!

    Ok...

    I went out today and I checked to see if the fans turned on during a drive and after the drive. They work. I also took the time to get all of the bubbles out of the lines and re-bleed the coolant.

    Lets recap:

    * Changed Thermostat
    * Bought new rad cap
    * Changed coolant twice and bled the system properly
    * Both fans (are wired together) and turn on during the drive and after (to cool down)

    WHY IS IT STILL OVERHEATING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

    p.s. Thanks for all of your help so far...

    Ok Im Not Real That Familiar Wit H22 Yet... But The Stand Still Heating Sounds Like Your Primary Fan Is Not On. If You Have 2 Fans. One Should Be On Most Of The Time Just To Keep Basic Cool Down. But If Really Over Heats The Secondary Fan Should Come On.

    If You Dont Have 2 Fans Then I Have No Idea Sorry. But That Would Be My Guess If You Have Dual Fan.

      I have both the fans wired together and they both work...I still drive with that bitch on "H"...Some people say that Im stupid but its not a real overheating. I know my car...Its something else, I just dont know what it is. I just want peace of mind when I driving my car.

      Thanks,

        I was having almost the same problem. I checked the wiring and found that the fan switches were wired wrong! The plug for the rear switch was plugged into the front sensor (under the distributor) and the rear sensor (on the thermostat housing) didn't have anything plugged into it. I extended the wires that were plugged into the front switch (blue and black) and plugged them into the rear sensor, then I found the connector for the front sensor (green/white and black, if i recall correctly), plugged it in and ran the car for about 30 minutes until the rad fan came on and checked the temp gauge and it was right where it was supposed to be (the fan wasn't coming on until it went almost to H). I've been driving it on a daily basis since then and I haven't had the problem since!

          Oh, and as for the idle... Are you running a P13 ECU? I am and whenever I roll down my windows or otherwise stress the electrical system, my idle drops and sometimes it feels like the car is going to die out on me. In my research I found that the Prelude has what is called an ELD (electronic load detector) and the Accord does not. I'm currently trying to piece together another ECU. I need to get a chip with an H22 base map and ELD disabled, the datalogging port, software and whatever I need to be able to tune my own ECU (on the fly preferably). Once I get all of this together and get in installed and tuned, I'll let you know if it resolves my issues...

              Pop out your rad and pressure test it. And make sure your hoses are new. Other than that, get an afternarket thermostat that will make your car actually run cooler. It's not OEM specs.

                I may have to disagree with that

                  The thing that led me to make that statement is that in the wiring diagrams in my Chilton's book, the ECU D10 pin on the Prelude goes to the ELD and the D10 pin on the Accord goes "to the charging system" and there is no reference whatsoever to the ELD in the Accord wiring diagrams. I'm not saying that my statement was not incorrect, just pointing to my research. And the fact that my car is not compensating for electrical load since I put in the H22 and P13. Could the ELD be bad and not throw a code? Does the P13 read it differently than the PT3 (Accord LX ECU)? Now I'm really lost!

                    accord does have an ELD circuit, and it is in fact in the engine fusebox... never owned a lude so i never payed attention, but the lude has a smaller fusebox and its possible that its located elsewhere... when looking at accord diagrams, dont look for the ELD on the ECU pinout diagram, look for it in the underhood fusebox diagram.

                        You change timing? Water pump could be goin bad. Somewhat clogged radiator (use a heat gun and look for hot spots) And are your fans blowing the right way. If you reverse the polarity they will send air goin the opposite direction.

                          Both of the fans are blowing towards the motor. I honestly have no idea what the timing is or how it works. I will have my dads friend (who is a mechanic) check it out for me (when he has time)...

                          Thanks again,

                            Well if your using the water pump with the engine you got (if i remember your the one complainin bout the h22a) Then I would definitely change that out with timing. I did mine so it wouldnt be a pain in the ass in the future. WHen i took off my water pump I could barely turn the damn thing so yea I would prob take a good look at that.

                              Where did you buy your thermostat? What temp thermostat did you actually get?

                              I replaced mine a few years back, and the first time.... the auto parts sold me a 190 degree thermostat...... too hot for the F-22.
