fan noise?

kk this is last topic i make today

this has happend to me twice before, once a month or 2 ago, and then again today. i get home, turn the car off, and as im walking away from my car i hear a noise from under the hood, its a noise as if a fan is still running. my dad said it was probably cause the engine was over heating and the fan will stay on for an extra few minutes to help it cool down, but i check all my guages every 10 minutes or so, or whenever im at a stoplight. the engine temp. gauge was not on "H" so why would the fan still be going?

im guessing your car is automatic?

they do that, if you notice the sticker in the engine bay that says "warning fans may run up to 15 minutes after the car is off blah blah..." its just your car cooling itself down after you turn it off, it doesnt mean it was overheated at all.
