Just wondering what was the hardest part of the swap for you more experienced persons. The part that you felt the least confident in and first time swappers should look out for. (like me )

if you make a mistake during the swap, most things are easily fixable/correctable after the motor is already in the car... like hooking up plugs wrong, or forgetting to hook up a hose, etc... id say the hardest parts would be the timing belt and clutch, they are both easy to mess up and they need to be done right the first time... most first time swappers arent ready to drop the tranny to redo the clutch, or attempt to redo the belt with no room.
i dont say that to scare you, if you get a good manual and take it super slow and follow it step by step following torque specs, you shouldnt have a problem. theres a first time for everybody...

btw my car is already manual, and I do plan on doing the tranny swap to.

For most people the wiring has been the hardest in my experience. As long as you have good diagrams, some basic electrical knowledge and the proper tools you should even be ok here. Just take your time, ask questions if need be, and follow all of the wiring guides that are posted here in the swaps section. Everything from pulling ECU pins to what wires need to be added and where they go are on here.
Separating the tranny can be intimidating the first time, but once it is out, the clutch isn't hard to change. Just make sure the flywheel and pressure place stay clean, and follow the directions in your preferred shop manual and you should be fine. It is also easier to do this with the engine out of the car, because you will have a lot more space to work with.
As far as the timing goes, again, a shop manual will see you through. Make sure all of the marks are lined up and all of the directions are followed and you will be fine. There are extensive threads on here about that too.
Good Luck! You will learn a lot if you decide to do it yourself.

Thanks for the feed back guys.
Im not to worried about the wiring, I have a lot of experience with electronics, Saudering wires, pins, repairing circuits, lots of tiny detailed work. Not to say im not worried at all, trust me I am >_<, but I thought the whole mechanical part, bolting everything up, specifically tapping the tranny mounts would be the hardest part. I just have this odd feeling im gonna forget to do something, like connect a hose, or something stupid idk.
Maybe you guys can make a checklist? I know there is a extensive how to, but like a short checklist of vital things that people could print out and have with them, for first timers. Its an idea, it doesnt have to like the how to, just like "[ ] O2 sensor connected" and so on. give this a read... its not broken down into a checklist, but is a step by step guide for removing an F22... if you follow it in reverse, the H22 reinstallation is directly bolt in.

the first time i did an h22 swap, i was experienced with electronics, and had no mechanical experience, it took me 8 days, but it worked. i forgot stuff, but when something ends up not working, thats when you realize what was left disconnected just label EVERYTHING you disconnect with a piece of masking tape and a marker, and youll figure out exactly where it goes back. and when you think youre done, its obvious if something is left disconnected... youll see a big flap of tape in your face

Yeah wiring messed me up the most on my swap too. I went from auto to manual so I also had to relocate the tranny mount. It wasn't that bad. Like everyone has said take your time and mark everything. I've done swaps before with other cars and this one has been the most difficult, not to say that it was hard thouhg. Honda likes to use the exact smae kind of plugs for like 5 sensors. So you need to make sure you label them.

Wiring was one of the easiest parts for me as everything is pretty much cut in length to fit only one plug. The hardest part on the cb was trying to figure out why the hell the tranny mount wasn't lining up but even with that the whole swap took about 4 1/2 hours. Its a straight forward swap and with common sense you dont even have to mark the wires as everything plugs back into the same places.Oil leak?What oil leak? That's just sweat from all that horsepower!

Ive looked around and everyone suggests replacing these parts on the h22
-Exhaust header with aftermarket one
-clutch
-Valve cover gasket
-Spark plug wires
-Spark plugs
-Timing belt
Is there anything else, I know there probably is, and im gonna finish this post and look but in the mean time can you guys give me some input, ya I know search, I am !!!.

for me, the hardest part was doing the timing belt.If i did it again though, i'm pretty sure i would do in the 1/4 of the time it took me the first to do it.Just figure out a way to stop the crank/cam gears from turning and you should do fine.
