ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Suspension sound

I searched the forums for a bit, and found some stuff on rattling suspension, but my car doesn't rattle as much as it sounds like something is slamming against something else... if that makes sense.

I've already replaced the sway bar links, so I'd like to think that's ruled out as the issue.

The sound comes whenever I hit a slight bump.
Also; it's only on the right side. The left side is perfectly fine.

    Any thoughts?

I'll try and get a video of the sound up today or tomorrow.

Take the wheel off and give the suspension a good look over. Your question is a little loaded without more info.

Yeah, I figured it'd be a bit vague as I'm trying to remember all this off the top of my head 'cause I'm posting while at work.

I'll pull the tire and get you more info as soon as i get home.

          Could be:

          Lower ball joint
          Upper ball joint
          Upper control arm bushings
          Lower control arm bushings
          Sway bar end links
          Sway bar bushings
          Outer tie rod end
          Inner tie rod end
          Bad shock absorber

          hope that helps?

Is the car lowered? Or on stock suspension?

Gonna check all that as soon as I get home from work.

And Bongo, I'm on stock suspension.

My car has poly bushings. Everytime I hit a bump of some sort I get a grinding noise. Can't describe it. Mine need grease. Maybe yours do too.
I have done all my suspension work. It sounds like something is rubbing. This is the only thing I can think of in my case.

So, I went and removed the wheel, and found no big issue. At least to my eye.

                  Took pics though.

Thanks again for the help, guys,

Same grinding noise on bumps and humps. Found out it was a broken bracket on my exhaust near the rear right passenger area that was causing the noise. When I replaced my exhaust, noise was gone!
