ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I think we can agree that NOBODY rev's to 12,500 regularly though

The guide to high revving motors

      Ignore the trolls.
      MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

We can safely say that nobody HERE revs to 12,500.
          I don't even thing Bisi's Insight revs that high, and that's a pro-drag car.

On my current ZX6R, 14,000 is redline. The rev limiter is @ 14,800. And its an inline 4 cylinder.

                  The 06 ZX6R I had redlined @ 16,000 and rev limiter was @ 17,000. IIRC.

                    Can I ask a newb q?

How come they don't make motors for dd Honda's that rev that high lol?

Idk the S2k limit, but im fairly certain its not even close lol.

Again not sure about the NSX limit, but its maybe a little closer...

                    but 17k good god.

                    Maybe it's not necessary?

Idk I think it would be cool!

im going to guess the stroke and valve train is what allows it to rev that high. f1 engines have 6 to 8 cylinders and only have 2.2 to 3.2 displacement iirc

I think it could be because it’s just not necessary. That’s my only guess.

I though the S2K was around 9,000 but I’m not sure.

I thought some NSXs was just shy of 10,000 but again I’m only guessing.

The crazy thing about motorcycles is that they (or mine at least) doesn’t start making good power until 6-6.5k. (where a stock Honda F engine redlines)

From around 7k to 13k on my ZX6R is absolutely insane. It has a full Muzzy exhaust, Dyno Jet stage 3 jet kits, bored but I don’t know the specs but it’s a lot, custom ground cam, custom tuned Vance & Hines computer, and a K&N filter. I weight 225lbs, it’s only a 600 and speed shifting from 2nd to 3rd will either roast the rear tire for a moment if I lean forward or pull the front tire of the ground if I position myself normal. The rear tire is junk but Im still impressed.
