ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

If d4 is blinking I'd go pick up speed sensor from a jy and throw it in and see what happens.

If it is a TCU code 13 there is a thread in the DIY section that shows how to fix it so you don't have to go buy a 200 dollar part

i don't know if it is a ECU or TCU, i believe it will be TCU since I'm having trouble with the transmission, especially with 2nd gear seems like 3rd or 4th..., ill check that thread in DIY anyway its going to the shop tomorrow see what they say…

yeah the only trouble I had when checking my TCU was getting the wiring harnesses unplugged so i can pull it out. other wise its easy to get to and stuff. i gave up for that day tbh and called my friend at the trans shop and told him id bring it in soon!

well the car is going to be at a the shop… they said the SHIFT sensor was bad, and also the discs inside of the tranny, since they told me it was SLIPPING, going to replace them.

id have to say that the car has 230k miles and never had ANY KIND of problem with the engine or tranny

Just curious, was it shifting at weird times? or just hardly shifting at all?

No, shift was smooth from 1st to 2nd, but when in 2nd gear seemed like no power, like if it was Slipping,or like when you have a stick and from 1st gear instead of use 2nd you have 4th… you would go on the gas and the revs go up but the car won't speed up, so thats what it was doing, and flashing d4 of course.

I'd probably go get it out of the shop.
Since they think it's a shift sensor, I'd say it's a TCU code. If it's code 13, then it's the Main shaft speed sensor. Not too hard to replace. IIRC, $100+ though.
