ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    burning/waisting fuel and no acceleration

So I recently had to replace my f22a6 with an f22a1 and now that I have the car running again I'm noticing little to no acceleration and there's a strong stench of fuel and high amount being used. I'm currently running headers and down pipe till I can get the flanges to insert a test pipe. I am still using the a6 computer. What would be causing these issues?

    There are many things.

    Check for codes first.

Does it go past a certain rpm or does it just bogg?
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

OP, is your car an automatic or manual? If an automatic count how many times the car changes gears to get up to highway speeds.

Also what year is your accord? If you have a 90-91, is your sport light on all the time? If you have a 92-93 is your d4 light on all the time?

          How do you waist something?

Spelling nazism aside... Have you checked the valve timing on the F22A1 to be sure it's correct? You should always change the timing belt when installing a new engine, unless you are certain that it's already been done recently.
Also, a lack of power and poor fuel economy are often attributed to a bad o2 sensor.

As for running with an open header... that's a great way to burn up your exhaust valves.
Get a proper cat. Don't use a test pipe. Your car will sound awful, smell worse, and kill the environment... which will eventually lead to even stricter legislation against our hobby.

It's a manual 92 it originally had an a6 but currently running an a1. I'm gonna check timing again but I had 2 cels yesterday o2 senser and map I fixed a few vac lines and got that fixed but than today my fuel supply system light came on (cel 43) and its still eating gas I've killed half a tank in 58 miles

Code 43 is most often an o2 sensor code as well (I've only seen one instance on here where it was not.)

Replace that o2 sensor with a new Denso or NTK unit (no Bosch, they don't work), and replace that MAP sensor. That should definitely fix your problem.

If your base ignition timing is too retarded, that can be a source of wasted fuel, as well as a performance loss. It wouldn't account for your half tank in 58 miles, though.

if you have no fuel pressure then how could you dump all that fuel?

How did you find it had no fuel pressure? Check and repair the main relay to fix that.

Though that is a separate issue to using excess gas.
Have you changed the O2 sensor as has already been said?
