I know I've read a thread somewhere that detailed all of the essentially bolt on upgrades for the F22A1, but even after searching I can't for the life of me find it.
Anyway, I just got back from the junk yard with some F22A6 runners (lower intake, the manifold), and the F22A6 butterfly valve stack. I didn't grab the plenum (the upper intake, with the throttle body attached), as I assumed it was the same as I already have on my F22A1. Am I right there on that one? Also, is the butterfly stack the same as well?
The engine I pulled it from had the valve cover on as well, so I suppose I could go snag the camshaft too; what all do I need to grab with that? Do I need the head? The journals it rides in? The springs and tappets?
Before I left for the yard, I read about double stacking the butterfly stack on the intake. What the heck is that all about? Why would I want to do it? Doesn't that change the compression dynamic of the intake?
