Hi I was looking on this site about running these cars on water like you can see on youtube. Has anyone done it? How would you do it to help fuel economy?

Those hho things actually work. I had some professor at school go through the entire process (chemically) and said that in theory you could run your car off a number two pencil a ballast and tap water.

It takes more energy to produce the hydrogen than the hydrogen would produce.
If it was practical, more people would be doing it... and the automakers would be using it. The idea is great, but honestly... it does not work.

The only way/method that generating hydrogen would even be feasable, would be to use the sun or wind to generate the electricity to convert the water to hydrogen.
The best way to use the hydrogen to power the car, is not how you would expect. Instead of burning the hydrogen, like gasoline in our engines, the car would be powered by electric motors, that get their energy from the "hydrogen fuel cell".
The easiest way to explain it is, to think of how a regular lead acid battery generates electricity, the "hydrogen fuel cell" works the same way, but instead of acid, its hydrogen, and a catalyst, mixed with oxygen, generates electricity with a byproduct of water. At least thats my crude understanding of the subject.Comment

well i heard soon it's going to alternating fuel in the future...the only promblem it's more dangerous than gasoline...cause you need hydrogen to be compress...it can actual act as a c4 or a bomb than just gasoline burning up in getting indulge in flames
