ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Which line to Seafoam?

    Hi All

I want to add seafoam to my vacuum line to clean my engine. Problem is: I don't know which line is safe. I have read the brake booster line is the most popular, but I don't know which line this is. Which line(s) could I pour seafoam through, (and where is it located) to clean my engine? Thanks All

the brake booster line is the best, it the big hose that's on the back of the intake, running towards the brake and clutch master cylinders. its easiest to septate the lines where the gray plastic piece is, its got hose clamps securing on both sides of it.

I'm planning on doing this tomorrow morning. Any tips on what to do. I was told engine should be at normal running temperature. 1/3 of the bottle into the gas tank, 1/3 of it into that vacuum line that runs to the brake booster. What about the other 1/3?

was also told to drive around the block, but slow, not fast, just to help it run through the system.

The other 1/3 is right into the crank case where you put oil in.
An oil change is recommended soon after.

Stick the line directly into the seafoam bottle. Let the vacuum of the engine suck it in. Wait for the engine to stumble and 1/3 of the can to be gone. Turn off the engine and let it sit for 10 minutes. Turn it back on and let it burn off the smoke.

A word of warning: Even after it's stopped smoking, once you get it on the road and open it up you will create a large cloud of smoke.

that's not totally accurate. You run about 1/3 of the can thru the engine, then you allow the engine to idle normally, then drop the hose into whatever container your using and allow the engine to die. This sucks the Seafoam into the engine, rather than burning it and sending out thru the exhaust.
