ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Suggestions to lower my car ?

I am planing on lowering my car. I want to go with h&r sport springs, but what shocks should i use ? koni sport (yellow ones), koni street (orange ones), kyb agx adjustable, or tokico hp series shocks ? Or should i just get the tokico hp series shocks with the tokico springs ? Thanks in advance !

I was thinking about replacing the struts on my car but don't need them yet. I was informed by some other members to not use the KYB AGX's if you want to lower the car. A lot of people said the Koni yellows were really good. Not too sure on anything else in that area.

I don't know what your budget is, but this is a really nice set for the money. I just bought these so I will post some results when I drive the car in the summer. I will be comparing them to the skunk2/shock combo.

Either Koni choice will work. The rest will not.

Koni Yellows will be be best, but the STR.T should be able to work well enough with the Sport springs. If you want to go lower with Race springs, the STR.T won't hold up, though.

Yeah i was thinking about going with the skunk2 combo as well, saw them on ebay for like $540 ? Thanks deev that helped, i will most likely go with the koni yellow or str.t since i am not going to go any lower as i have speed bumps where i live.

Skunk2 is shit for CB7's. I'll just say it before deev has to. Go with the Koni's.

Yeah, Skunk2's springs are stupid stiff, and their shocks can't even handle it... Every report I've heard about Skunk2's Accord suspensions basically suggests that they're no better than the cheapest of eBay garbage.

Ask the seller, or better yet, ask Bilstein, if the shocks will hold up to the drop and the spring rate of the H&R Sport springs. They're fairly mild springs, so they SHOULD be fine... but Bilsteins aren't cheap, so it'd be in your best interest to get the info directly from them.

And that set that antonio posted is a GREAT setup. It's pretty much what I have on my car right now (though I don't have the H&R branded Konis... nor do I have H&R springs anymore, but Neuspeed... but they're pretty much identical... )

Thanks once again deev. I was looking around and the bilstein shocks came up so i thought i should ask about them to. In the end i'm going towards the konis

                              I have Koni's. No complaints.

If you go with Bilstein, get them through Autozone.
