What Tire sizes are most cb7s running

I was just curious, because I'm running 205/40r17 in the front and 225/45r17 in the rear. And I don't really like the way it looks. I know the front tires are close to oem size but to me it just looks a little funny. So any suggestions

Yeah 205/45 is what Im going for. But my freinds and family like the look now, that's really why I asked; to see if anyone else is running something similar( side wall wise).

It all depends on the size and offset of the wheel. Sometimes a narrow tire is necessary for clearance.

For a 17x7.5" (a very common size) wheel that is the correct offset for the car (I consider anything from +38 to +42 to be "correct") then yes, a 205/45/17 is a very good size. Most tire websites suggest 205/40/17, but I've found that to provide very little protection for the wheel. I've run tires as wide as 215. 225 would probably prove to be too much rubber, providing a very "squishy" ride as it bulged over the edge of the rim.

All depends on the size of rim... Drop... And look overall that you are looking for.

This can be very helpful when trying to figure out what tire sizes can go on or cars. For figuring out what the speedometer difference will be use an original tire/wheel size of 185/70-14 (Stock 14") or 195/60-15 (Stock 15")

First off I apologize to thread jack but it's related to the OP question.

Just out of curiousity I know the suspension is the same on 4th & 5th gens so essentially the tires sizes are similar ,correct?

So it should be safe to say I could run 215/50 R15 safely on my 5th gen wagon? Or would 205/55 R15 be a better route for daily use?

BTW- I've got some 7 spoke Prelude Si's on and don't plan on changing them.

On my 17's I'm running 215/45 s and they work good. personally I've found 16's with 195/50 or 205/50 to work better (all preference), not as CLUNKY. but stock is always great.

You guys need to include rim sizes with your tire sizes...

205/55/r15 is a perfect size for a stock CB and won't affect the speedometer at all
205/55/r16 does however affect the speedometer by 2-5mph.

I've had a couple of setups on my CB and I love the 205/50/16 the best!!!....
