ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Lets talk resistor box and grounding plug

Ok I had this bright idea about eliminating the resistor box and using a ground plug from another harness.

Before I do anything I want to understand whats in the box exactly. What I did was open up the box to see whats in it, so I opened it and saw this

Now I noticed that this cant be removed looks to be fused or glued together, and if you look at the harness to it it seems to have gtound wires and a red wire. but if anyone happens to know what wires go to it, knows that the wires would be the negative side of the injector plugs harness, the positve wires lead back to passenger side shock tower leading to the ECU plug.

So what I want to know is resistor a junction ground box since negative wires go to it.

If my theory is correct then what I can do is de pin the negative side of the injector plugs and run them into this ground plug such as this

As you can see its just a plug.

Now before people say whats the point of this then dont bother posting no offense to those that will think it,

I did a complete wire tuck including makin my own engine harness and will be running it in the cabin of my cb, the resistor box wont be seen but sits to where it cant be secured (MOVES AROUND). I just want a clearner look that I won have to worry about falling or moving around. Also for those that are doing wire tucks and hate the resistor box post up yout idea's or theories

i actually made my own diagnostic box. it's really simple one power in and four out after the resistance. you are putting resistors right? unless you're going to be running high impedence injectors.

yeah its just 4 resistors embedded in epoxy. 1 power line in, 4 outgoing lines to the injectors.

of you want to eliminate it, use inline resistors (may as well just tuck the oem box) or get some high-impedance (OBD2) injectors, they basically have built-in resistors... that way you would be able to remove the resistor box by splicing all 5 pins together (thats what I did)

wes, i like the injector-cut box!
