I need help with getting my timing belt on, this is the last thing i need on for my prelude to be ready to start. and it is the f22. And im having a hell of a time getting the timing belt on! help ?!

method to put timing belt on!

Do it in sequence.
BEFORE you do that though..MAKE SURE the engine is perfectly timed. If you don't you run the risk of possibly bending valves.
Once you do that, install the timing belt tensioner pulley and bolt it to the block where it has the hole on the edge of it.
1 - Install it on the cog of the crankshaft and then 2 run it over the timing belt pulley and then 3 over the water pump and then 4 over the cam gear.
Turn the motor over three times by hand, this tensions the belt and frees up slack on the exhaust side.
The reason you do it in sequence is that you want the front side of the belt (exhaust side) to be tight and the intake side should be loose.Henry R

dude it sounds like you REALLLYYYY need to follow a guide for this... the alignment and tension of this belt is one of the most critical things on the engine, and it needs to be done very specifically...

this is the critical point of any honda trust me i just lost my 93 over this shit . i had my time belt replaced just 5 years ago.. and it broke on me while driveing so i pretty much know the engine will not be the same.. so im stripping my 93 and getting another cb7.. but my point is dude if you are unsure about putting the belt on your lude. take it to a professinal and please do buy the best belt there is see mine was a 20 dollar autozone. and look at it now..

Anyways theres no way to do it without removing the crank pully
You clearly do need a guide if you don't understand that is a very important step to get to the timing belt.

Slap another belt on, you might get lucky. I did, and mine runs the best it ever has.

you know another funny thing look at all these problems with these accords this and that wrong with them. dont get me wrong this and other web pages had helped me alot keep mine up and going..but the truth be known if i didnt have so many parts already for a cb7 i really dout i would even have another.. ...
