ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It looks like you have 2 problems.
Find out where the clutch fluid is going (it's brake fluid)

If the brake booster is going then you'll have a VERY stiff pedal.
If you have to pump the brakes then you have air in your lines
If you pump the pedal to get brakes, but then it still falls, then you need a new master cylinder.
    MRT

30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

The clutch system uses brake fluid, yes, but it is a completely different hydraulic system. It has NOTHING to do with the brake components. If you don't know what you're talking about, please don't spread misinformation.

The clutch master cylinder is probably leaking. It tends to leak inside the car, so check for dampness on your floor under the pedal. The fluid is corrosive, and eats paint, so if it's leaking inside the car you'll want to thoroughly clean that area before it does serious damage.

Replace both the master and slave cylinders, and properly bleed the system.

Also check the slave cylinder on the front of the transmission, The piston seal on mine became very pitted and would leak slowly over a few months. The best way to tell if its leaking here is to get under the car and look for a dark stain down the transmission directly under it.

          I addressed both problems.

                  You're right. I missed that.

I hate when people make a post about one problem and then continue to ask about an unrelated problem in the same thread. Make two fucking threads for two different problems. It's not that hard.

I apologize. Your advice is spot-on for the brakes in that case.

You shouldn't have to disconnect your hydraulic system to change the clutch. If you did, then you need to re-bleed the system... but that wouldn't account for fluid loss.

If you wish to add something after a post, please use the "edit" button. Don't make multiple posts one after another. That will just get your thread deleted.
