Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Coolant resivior slowly filling itself up

    Hey there everybody I have a 92 EX. Well as the title states, my coolany reservior is slowly filling itsself up. Ill take the extra coolant from the reservior and top off the radiator and then a couple days later it will be almost full again. Theres not a hot reading coming from the sensor or anything , and both the upper and lower radiator hoses get hot after the engine gets to operating temp. So i really dont know what going on with it. As always any input would be much apppreciated.

    Edit: also on a side note, some times but not all the time i will get a little bit of white smoke comming out of the tail pipe every now and then when i first start the engine. It goes away after like a min of driving though, so im not thinking that it was a head gasket issue and more like maybe just oil deposits of something. But coolant burns white i think right?

    Replace the rad cap.
    MRT
    37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
    30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
    27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

      headgasket

      i got the same issue. It started off with overflow then later lead to hard start (lack of compression) and burn coolant but once warm up everything is ok.

      i replaced headgasket

        Head gasket: A lot more than that.

          Do a leak test & compression test before starting to waste money.

            I would think the radiator cap would be good because i just replaced the radiator itself and it came with a new cap. But i had to exchange one radiator already because it had a leak in it, so whos to say the cap wouldnt be bad also. Thats what happens when you buy products of poor quality (not OEM). Well i hope that the cap is the problem and not the head gasket

            Are you talking about a leak down test ?
