ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    project f22a1

I was thinking if this is a good setup or scrap it and go with a H22a1. I have a f22a1 in my accord and wanted to add, pistons and rods and everything els. and boosted to 30-40 pound.this is depending on the budget pros and cons for both.

30-40lbs of boost is a lot. You would need to have your motor fully built and it wouldn't be any good if this is your daily driver. If you have an h22 than throw it in. If not just build your f22.

      30-40! holy crap.

The h22 would be a much cheaper way to get some power and would be much more reliable.

I thought about stripping down an f22 and building it for boost in the low teens but it was going to cost almost tripple the cost of an H22.

The initial cost would be a con. However, the pro would be that you would have double the whp and a freshly built engine.

I think you need to do a bit more research on your options. Either one is worth your time, but you clearly have a very basic understanding of all that is involved. When you get to the level of a full high-boost turbo build, you've got to do much more than simply throw parts at it. You need to plan everything out very carefully.

Actually building an F for boost is doable with not THAT much money. Triple the cost of an H22 swap - possibly. Depends on how much work you can do yourself. It is possible to do under $3000 with clutch and everything in the car and ready to go - stock sleeves though. Then you still need to buy turbo parts and tune, that could easily bring it up to $5000 - buying quality stuff. Once again, it can all be done for way less, but I am assuming quality parts and paying a shop to do engine build.
And about running 40lbs boost - lol. It is not a diesel truck, it is a Honda. What is your horsepower goal? 1000 ....? lol

              rofl!!!

to the OP, 30-40lbs of boost? you better have like $7,000 on just your motor build, then $3,000 for a tranny that can hold that kind of power.

you have never touched a car have you. you googled turbo. and stated on a web site a ridiculous number for boost.

Firstly... welcome to the club... interesting goal set by you and yes, the boost numbers are a bit high... but what do you have planned for your cb7 other then the boost idea?... is it your daily driver?... weekend warrior or a straight off track car?... either way, best of luck...

All the important parts of Ebay kits are crapshoots, it seems

Would be better to piece together a kit with quality used parts

OP has a lot to learn though, before doing anything
