At least he only bought the motor for $50. Sell it for like $250 to some guy with a CG with a blown headgasket or something. Then use the $200 you made to go get a tune up and a fresh tank of 93.

yea tuned right they can make ~170hp... so you're telling someone who can't even spell VTEC right to spend about $700-1000 to get the motor swapped in, figure out how to get the ECU to run it, the harness, THEN spend more money on getting it tuned at a dyno to make 170hp when he can barf out $2000 and get a JDM H22A with an LSD (Limited Slip Differential, not drugs) and bang out 200hp out the door?
This ain't Need For Speed, this is real life where getting shit done takes time, effort and on top of it all money.

My suggestion, READ over the Swaps section, then a book, any book. Then flip the engine , or shit keep it and rip it apart and learn where everything is, might pick up a thing or two... like how to spell VTEC lol

This thread was incredibly irritating to read from the first post. I cannot grasp how

so many people can drive a car every day and know nothing about it other than

put in gas and change the oil every once in a while. Its frustrating.

He want's Vtec, and he really wants an H22a, He's obviously new to Honda's, and he posted this in the beginner section which suggests that he is new.

C'mon guys give the guy a break, Sure he may not know what VTEC really is or how it works, So what - he can learn, Or COULD learn if people helped him, rather than commenting on a 4 month old thread . . .

The difference between My Mom/sister and the OP is neither My mom nor my sister are contemplating a motor swap on a car just because they heard "vtech" makes them go fast. I just wish people would do a little more research rather than just hearing bits and pieces from people and coming to a conclusion.

I wasn't trying to come off as rude, although looking back i'm sure i did, but i get frustrated with things like this sometimes.
