ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Versa engine inside a accord?

I just bought a 1990 honda accord and it turns out that the engine is horrible. I have a nissan versa engine in my garage. Does anyone think it can fit in this accord?

The HR16DE is only rated at like 110HP and 109 foot lbs of torque.

Just getting that motor to fit would take extensive fabrication that would far exceed buying and installing a H22. It would even be much easier to put a B18 in a CB7 then a Nissan motor.

The amount of work would be mind-numbing... If you have to ask if it can be done, you don't know enough to do it... because it would require knowing how to MAKE it work!

And that engine is so incredibly weak for a car of this size and weight that it would probably be dangerous to drive it on the street.

A working F22A can be had quite cheap. Sell that Versa engine, and you'll be able to buy a good one... maybe two.

if you have extensive fabrication skills, tons of money to waist, and outstanding wiring skills, being as everything under the hood would prob. be re wired to except the motor than sure anything is possible. BUT WHY??

It's nothing special but that never gave me any problems and it just needs some TLC to bring it up to par. Otherwise, if $$ might not be the issue, get an H22 (most popular). Too much modification and fabrication for the Versa engine for... NOTHING.

PM me if interested in the engine. Peace!

Well I guess the versa would be a total waste of time. I'll just sell it.. My engine is alittle unpredictable to see how long it will last.

the engine was said to be swapped before I bought it but alot of people have been saying that it looks like it hasn't even been touch and the sound of the engine is not good. They may have not changed the engine, but I do find the speed of the car way too fast for a 4 cylinder gas saver. Im guessing it's rebuilt but there are too many doubts. the sound of the engine is clam when it's in a stop but when it rev's up to go, the sound is very loud comming from the engine.

Do you realize how much work that would be? All the custom fabrication necessary? The weight of the CB7 will drastically reduce the performance potential of those motors... the ONLY reason to do a swap like that is to be different... but you'd be subject to a hell of a lot of criticism for it.

i like that people want to be different with their cars.
but all these "bench" swaps are mostly pretty unrealistic and kind of ridiculous.

our cars run pretty great with the motors that most of us already have. and with a bit of work our cars can be formidable in about 95% of street situations.

just stick with what you know works.
there is no reason to spend retarded amounts of cash just cause you got an extra engine laying in your garage.
