Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

how to replace head gasket.

    how to replace head gasket.

    i think i have a head gasket that is gone already.....

    last night i drove.....it ran fine adn everything
    but this morning it was cold and i turnedon my car and it threw a lot of white smoke for a min or 2 then it started going less...but still see a lil....

    i opened my hood and i kinda seewhite smoke form my valve cover area..or something around there......

    i am guessing its a head gasket....

    is it hard to replace????

    never done a head gasket b4......

    i am planning on using bar's leak head gasket reapair to see if it was a head gasket..

    anybody reccomends anything or any clue??

    my oil looks good...

    i pull the cap while engine running and no bubbles
    IT MAY BE AUTO BUT IT SURE RUNS FAST FOR A F22A6

    haha well you gotta tear the whole top half of the motor off to rplace the head gasket.. i have this same problem.. so im just replacing the engine and rebuilding my one with the the blown head gasket.. only cause i want a boosted motor lol
    You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

      it's just a head gasket..why replace the whole engine? makes no sense. unless your making that an excuse to upgrading..

        haha.. its a good excuse.. cause i wanna turbo my old motor.. so in order to do that i have to rebuild it.. so im putting a another motor till i rebuild the one with the blown head gasket.. cause its my only car i have

          A compression test will give you the answer.

            White smoke wen u start it could be your valve seal and if u dont know
            how to chang a head gasket get the book on the car thay will help a lot

              well i changed my radiator cause i had to right.......

              but the fans wont turn on when the motor gets to its normal temp....
              it always does that they aint turning on at all.......

              only with ac...
              idk whats up......

              cause when i turn it on now it doesnt throw smoke but when i drive it it does....
              unless its the coolant that is burning off or smoething....

              but when i come to my house i see the hood smoking a lil.....

              idk whats that....my fans wont come on
              my temp is good no over heating or anything like that....

              whats the problem?

                  it's probably just condensation. thought i had a headgasket issue with my bmw but it was just a lot of condensation in the exhaust system.

                    What the hell does that have to do with this post? Except if he wants to upgrade that at the same time but first he needs to figure out the main problem, then worry about upgrading.

                    To the OP, Check the coolant and see if any oil is in there.

                      well the smoke its not alot anymore....
                      cause it was raining super hard alot......3 days ago and yes i was driving...

                      is there a way that water can get to the exhaust inside or something,....
                      cause it throws lil bit of water out...

                      and stuff/....


                      but idk my fans wont turn on....

                      only with ac


                      what makes the fans go on when the engine is warm...
                      and also to cool down the radiator...

                      i chaged the relay in the fuse box and the radiator timing thing///

                      what other sensor triggers that?
