doubt about the proportioning valve...

Hi,

Few months ago I read we can use the integra 40/40 proportioning valve in our cb's if we made the rear disc conversion. I think the # 40/40 is about the pressure percent.

Then where is the other 20%

I know our cars have bigger front calipers and pads, but it is enough to make a safer stop with the same brake fluid pressure (40/40)?

I bought on ebay the integra proportion valve but now i'm not sure to use it.

4040 is not a 40%/40% measurement, its just the part number stamped on the side.

The number does relate to the distribution of pressure, but I don't know the relationship.
