ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    raced friends 6 cyl benz

I was at a light and my friend was on the lane next to me in his 96 5 speed auto benz station wagon. I floored it(completely stock 4 speed auto cb7), heard my tires squeal, and passed him pretty easily. We went until 60 mph and then i let of the gas. I was pretty surprised because I eventhough it was a station wagon, he must have had 300 hp and 300 tq versus my completely stock automatic......I did get to about 6500 rpm before each shift though.....

    any comments?

Those benz wagons have to way more than that. They are tanks literally.

Sorry, but a Benz wagon with a 6 had nowhere near that much power.

          Try 200-220 at the most.

You're probably right, I just took a blind guess I have no idea how much power they have

The C280 sedan weighed about 3400lbs, so I would guess the wagon would weigh at least 3500-3600lbs.

If you work out the power to weight ratio, it isn't that much better.

              But,

At higher speeds where HP vs Drag plays a much larger role, he most likely would have had you.

Depends what the drag on those is, but they shine at highway speeds.

You mean its a 1990-1995 E320 station wagon

                1990-1992 177hp 188 lb-ft ~3500lb
                1993-1995 217hp 229 lb-ft ~3700lb

or a 1998 E320 station wagon since 1996-1997 had no station wagons made

                1998 221hp 232 lb-ft 3670lb

In that case I think it was probably a 1995
