ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

not necessarily. There's been F22a's running low low low 16' on the board, and H22's running low 16s. On the street it depends on the driver.

An extremely built F22 would take out pretty much most H22's out there.

So who has an extremly built F22 and beaten an H22 b4? anyone got a story bout that?...and yea i know that it does depend on the driver on the street, but damn didn't know you can actually mod an f22 to burn a h22. Plus the 16's, You're referring to tires/rims right?

93twodoorLX ran a 15.9 with his F22A1, AEM SRI, Ebay header, crush-bent 2.25" exhaust, and basic weight reduction (pretty much whatever he could rip out of the car in 30 minutes ) He had AC and PS installed and hooked up, normal Yokohama Avid A4 tires on steelies, the original clutch, and nothing else.

I have an H22 with an AEM CAI, crush bent 2.5" exhaust, UR crank pulley... everything else is about the same as 93twodoorLX's car. He has the best time in my car, and it's only a 15.0 (at the time, the clutch was terrible, the tires were at 70%, and it was running rich)

F22s in a mild state of tune are DEFINITELY capable of some nice times. With a polished F22A6 manifold (now on 93twodoorLX's car), tuned ECU, and maybe a Delta cam, I wouldn't see why low 15s wouldn't be easily doable. Once you modify the F22 head, you can make some significant improvement! I believe PrimoCB7 ran a 14.3 with a JG built head on his F22 back in the day.

And, of course... Bisi Ezerioha, Bisimoto here on the board, has his NA carbureted F22 making about 400 hp at the crank (that's probably 330-340 to the wheels). He's running 9s with his Insight, and he estimates that a 2600lb CB7 would probably run mid-11s with that same motor. Granted, that's a full race motor, but a streetable version would probably push low 13s, I would think.

The F22A is no slouch! Honestly, the H22 has a bit more of a ceiling, and the head doesn't flow as well!

ok so i take back the extremly part then haha. but 15.9 thats pretty impressive for just mild upgrades in my opinion. I ran a 16.5 which i was satisfied with for just the basic upgrades.

He's got a polished F22A6 intake manifold now (I know... I polished it!) and a PT6 ECU. Hopefully we'll get him tuned on a P06 soon (an I/H/E base tune would be a VERY good thing for the members here!) If he invests in a better header (Bisimoto!) I think he could see mid-15s easily without even taking the valve cover off.

That time was on stock suspension as well. He now has my old KYB AGX and H&R Sport springs... by stiffening up the rear to counteract squat, I think it'll help as well.

wow so suspensions actually make a difference? How does that work? By putting more weight at the front or what?
and lol it says that im now a cb7member..i still feel noobish though.

if u watch a car launch, the rear end will sink. if the suspension is tighter, it keeps that "sinking" from happening, giving u a better launch.
