ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Let's play MPG game

Ok the title is stupid but I do have more mileage related news. Drove From my house to Freeport, Illinois, and some city driving in between and here's the tally. Did 374.6 miles and used 10.399 gallons, or 36.02 mpg, or pretty damn good in my book.

Oh yeah is there anyone here with a gold CB7 that got pulled over today around springfield? I think it was a 90-91

Best I've done was 410 on 15 gallons, that was almost exactly half highway and half city.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

I usually get right around 29mpg in the city. Prolly right around 33-37 hwy. depending on if I have to keep slowing down to pass people. BTW thats wit the 89 Octane. Too expensive and not enough mods to need the higher Octane. Later

200-250 miles out of a tank of gas (16-18MPG) mostly city driving with alot of stop lights and a 30-45 mph speed limit on the roads I drive means as soon as I get to the cruising speed I have to stop for another friggin' light
On highway trips I've done in the past I got about ~350 miles out of a tank of gas.

I'm tring a new "drive like a grandma" style of low RPM's and a very light foot on the throttle to se how much better I can get with the mpg. I just started on the current tank so I'm not quite sure how it'll go untill that gas light comes on. Update to come soon......

my roomie told me he can get 500 on a hiway run. but he have not proved it to me yet lol.

I get just over 400 with mixed city and hiway drivin. occacional redlining and hard driving.

once i got like 430 mpg when i drove like my grandma and shift at 2k and stayed at 55 or under.

did some research, a guy in NY drove his ford tarus at 45 miles on one tank of gas and got like 650 miles!.

and another thing to think, how do you guys drive? lets say for a week ur lead footing it driving it hard and everything, then the next tank ful u drive like an old granny. u'd b suprised that u'd have worse gas milage than the next guy who granny drive his car ALL the time.

it have somethig to do the way your car computer do the fuel mixture, if u granny drive it all the time the fuel mixture are set more lean at lower rpms so u have less power. but a week of hard driving u'd get slightly better quarter mile times than that granny driven car.

                              anyone notice the difference?
