It's interesting that you've factored in the container in which the drink is dispensed from. I agree with you though, you CAN tell the difference. I still love the old-school glass Coke bottles.

They actually spray a special coating on the inside of the aluminum can blanks in production that helps to protect the Coke in the can from contamination.

from the two i'd go with coke but i prefer the taste of Dr Pepper.

Finally, someone got it right! Dr Pepper has no period in it. Dr Pepper is also an independent company. They may have someone else can their product sometimes, but they are their own company based outside of Waco, TX. For me, it's Pepsi all the way because I like the sweeter taste.
