ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Just bought a CB7

    9/17/06

Just picked her up today! I towed her from Portland Oregon.

    91 Accord EX 2-door 5-speed. (clean title)

    Everything works! even the A/C!!!

Needs a few things but for $600 i couldn't refuse. Oh yeah, it came with a FULL TANK OF GAS!

Needs a new fender...shouldn't be too hard to find a white one....they made enough of them.

Reason i towed it was because there is a leak in the radiator and it dumps all the water in about 30 seconds. It starts and runs, I drove it around the block, everything feels good.

    It needs:

    2 new tires
    new windshield
    driverside fender
    radiator

then i'll be detailing it (I'll take pics when i'm done)
doing new timing belt, waterpump and thermostat
then a tune-up to finish it off.

    UPDATE 9/18/06
    Repairs are underway.

On stands being checked and cleaned. Notice the intake i put on it already

Got the old radiator out to inspect it...2 cracks and some corrosion along the bottom seal.

I got a brand new radiator for $85 and i'll be putting that in tomorrow.

It's also getting a windshield tomorrow, It will be $190 installed at my house.

I found a fender for it for $50 bucks, primered and ready to paint...but i'm looking for a matching white one before i get that one because i don't really feel like dealing with paint.

    UPDATE 9/19/06

Windshield went in today...ended up costing $176.58 cause this was the 3rd windshield he's done for my family and gave me a discount. (it would have been $205 after everything)

I got the new radiator in and she runs like a fucking champ. i let it idle in the driveway for 45 minutes and it didn't even come close to overheating.

i started detailing the outside a bit today. HOLY SHIT this paint was dirty. it owned my claybar. check out the pic.

Here is the difference before and after the claybar...yes the door was washed, that's all the shit that was stuck to the paint, apparently they didn't know that wax for cars exists.

this is after polishing by hand...i get my Porter Cable 6 speed polisher tomorrow, it will put this shine to shame.

    UPDATE 9/21/06

OK! She's all polished up! Pics dont do justice, it's not sunny so it doesnt show up on the pics.

Yes i even polished the f'ed up fender

My DA in the back checking out the accords ass (gotta love frost white)

Interior... I have carpets, i have them out drying after i cleaned them.

Last night on a test run she popped a heater hose dumped out most of my my Honda Genuine coolant but she's all better now... but i had to go back to honda and get more coolant...I also bought Honda Genuine oil and filter for the oil change. (You can't beat factory goods, plus with my discount i get it for the same price as i would from the local auto parts place, i just have to drive a bit further)

If anyone has a drivers fender, i'd prefer a matching white one...please contact me!

Came with a free tank of gas, eh? When I bought mine it did too. Most times you buy a car people fill it up for you. I know I would if I was selling a car.

          Anyways, nice find.

Alright, I updated the first post!
Thanks Pakalolo, i definatly know my way around honda's/Acura's. Most other cars for that matter, but by far the most on Honda's. This Accord is my 7th or 8th Honda that i've owned (i'm 21)

Most of those were "flips" but 2 were for me as my personal car.

here is what i can remember off the top of my head:

-87 Prelude (my first car, owned for 2 years, sold for $1500 with 246k on it)
-84 Prelude (front end damage..fixed & flipped for $500 profit)
-91 Integra SE (my second car,(true love for honda's began) it's almost been 4 years...156k on it)
-90 Prelude Si (cracked exhaust valve, HG and clutch, fixed and flipped for $1700 profit)
-89 Accord sedan (HeadGasket, Fixed & flipped for $700 profit)
-90 Civic LX sedan (Alternator, both CV axles, major tune-up. fixed & flipped for $700 profit)
                -91 CB7 (Look @ first post)

there are more, just can't remember

Hey guys. I just did a compression test on her to see if the girl I bought it from did any damage when she almost overheated it.

                    Results: 184 - 179 - 191 - 181

No harm done, and it's definatly a honda motor with those numbers after 200,000 miles

Here is a close up of the paint before and after polishing...
