ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

My Arcadia Green CB7 - Introduction

Hows it going guys? My names Gabe and I'm from Sacramento, CA. Let me give you a little background about myself. I was introduced to cars when I was just a little tike and I've been learning more and more ever since. I'm more of the DIY type of guy so I've got quite a bit of experince under my belt. Still have plenty to learn though.

About a month ago, I was looking for a sh***y comuter when I stumbled upon this (relatively) cherry 93 Accord. When I saw it in person, it was game over lol. The interior was incredibly clean with no rips or stains. The body was straight with only about 3 very minute dings. AND ITS A 5 SPEED. Ye. Only issue with the paint is the rear bumper showing a little clear fading. Not an issue though. For being a 20 year old car, it was in great condition IMO. It did have have few of issues though:

-Both driver side window motors are out
-The front driver side wondow is terribly off track
(PO tried rolling up the window and it ate up all of the rubber)
-The clutch desperately needs to be replaced
-Drive belts are showing signs of cracking (no biggie)
-The rear driver side seat belt tensioner is out and is nonoperable.
    -A/C compressor is out

Overall, Im satisfied with the purchase considering the price. I should be tackling most of these issues this week and since the drive belts are out, Im going to go ahead and replace the timing belt and water pump. Im not really worried about the A/C and the windows since its winter.

Since its only my daily, Im not really trying to go all out with it. Im still going to make it look clean though Im not really going to do anything to the motor other than maybe an exhaust for the sound, but like I said, its my gas saver. Here's my list of things Im going to do:

    -Coilovers ------------------------*done
    -Wheels --------------------------*bought
    -OEM Fogs
    -OEM Bra ------------------------ *bought
    -OEM Visors
    -Rear Window Visor
    -Red/Clears -----------------------*done
    -EK Sidemarkers
    -DIY Black Housing Headlights
    -Amber Corners -------------------*done
    -CD sideskirts
    -Legend Coupe Lip ----------------*done
    -Audio Work
    -Short Shifter
    -G square grille

Thats pretty much it for now. I'm not trying to do anything crazy and Im going to keep it simple. Little mods here and there might sneak their way in but nothing major beyond whats listed. On to the pics though. Sorry, these are the only ones I have from when it was stock because I threw on quite a bit of stuff with my extra money lol

I'm gonna get pics up soon I'm just trying to get them from my phone to my comp.

So I thought Id bring this thread up to speed with how my cars going.

The first thing I did was throw on some red/clears. Apparently they got really hard to find right after I picked them up so I guess I lucked out.

I picked up eBay sleeves because I wanted to have the car dumped while I was saving for full coils. Looked nice, rode like ass. I dont regret really, I just wouldnt ever recommend it to anybody.

I really liked the look of the amber corners so I picked some if of the interwebz for the low. like 30 bucks IIRC. Very satisfied with the look.

So I randomly met a forum member at a party lol ended up being a pretty cool guy. His name is also Gabe lol but I think his name on here is Freshagen? I cant remember at the moment. Anyways, He ended up selling me an OEM bra and a Legend Coupe Lip for $100! Deal? I thought so. He also threw in a 90-91 grille that he had blacked out. I've always liked the look of the G-square grille So I did some modifications to it, added a little mesh and ended up with this.

I didnt add the mesh until a little later but I must say, Home Depot hooked it up! lol

Sorry guys, I like takin pics haha but I noticed my rear bumper is sagging ever so slightly. When I took a closer look, I noticed that its off of the clips on the side. Not sure if thats the issue for sure but I'm gonna try and fit it back on properly when I redo the minor clearcoat fading on the top of it.

Got paid and picked up some Function & Form Type 1's! I wanted to wait until I got these to install the lip so the bounciness wouldnt eat it up. I like where the fronts at but Im definitely going to go a bit lower in the back when I get a chance. The bra is undergoing a bit of TLC so thats not getting installed for a while.

I'm really into BMW. Just an FYI. This is my first Honda. I also have a 92 535i (E34). On the M5 for that bodystyle, theres a trunk filler that goes behind the license plate. I really liked the look so I thought I'd try it out. What say you?

Last Friday I picked up some wheels off of local CL. Theyre 16x7 Hayashi Techno R Mesh. No centercaps... Not trippin though. Im pretty ambivolent on the whole center cap thing. They were freshly powdercoated black but I HATE black wheels. No offense haha. These also need some love but I got them for a good price so I feel its well worth the extra bit of time and money.

            The tiny lips must go!

Had a bit of extra money so I went and picked up some LED interior lights from a local shop. I got everything except the dome light because the one there was pretty janky. I ordered the dome light from gluxlite.com(Thanks Alex!).

Thats pretty much it for now. I washed it yesterday and by the time I was done, it was dark. I was pissed haha so I just took some pics under the light.

Sorry if the pics look blurry or something. I noticed they looked off when I opened them on the computer. They were fine on my iPhone haha.
            Thanks for reading!

Yeah im actually not planning on doing a 5 lug conversion. Unlessby some miracle, the parts were bundked together and offered at a ridiculously low price. Its just not a priority IMO. Its only my DD.

If anything, I might do the rear disk brake conversion, but I'm even still on the fence with that. Dont wanna spend money where I dont absolutely want or need it.
