ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F,H or K series on CB7 ?

which one do you think would be better overall ,, drive-ability wise ,, performance wise and maintenance wise

Technically the K series would be best, considering it's newer, less mileage, ample aftermarket support, etc.

The bad part of the K series is the initial cost of the motor and installation.

Have you priced everything out? Or are you wanting me to write up a DIY?

Because that engine wasn't built to go in a CB engine bay. It doesn't just drop right in, so you have to have special motor mounts and whatnot.

I want to do a kswap too, but hybrid racing only makes mounts for the k24 block. I mean this isn't bad, it is a good thing you have to build a Frankenstein just to get decent power. Than than their are the hybrid racing axles and don't get me started on the wiring and it a hard build but there is one guy on here is a built and boosted k24...I mean I am going to do the swap just so I have a 300hp NA K series for autocross but if you don't want to take the time and money to swap it...build the F22a and you have close to or over what it would cost just to do a k swap

The H without any doubt. Aftermarket support, cost, easy swap. It`s all in all a very good and safe engine.

its expensive because just the motor and tranny run close to $5,000 unless you get a hookup or find them cheap, then you have to get mounts, ecu, shifter, etc. it adds up quick.

Hybrid racing is expensive and you would have to drop over a thousand for mounts and axles alone...than the price of the build, its almost not worth it in our car. and the k series drops right in to place though and fits like a glove

                        H. Simpler, very economical swap compared to K, and has lots of aftermarket support. Although the F is an amazing engine, the H22 should have been an option on CB's IMO...

I have seen fully built k24's for just under 6 so a k24 stock with a trans is 2200 to 3000
