ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Energy Suspension Master Bushing Kit

I need some feedback on this kit from anyone that use it, and where to grab it if it's worth it?

    #2
I bought a prothane polyurethane kit from tasauto. I used a press to install them which is really the best way to do it

others used sockets and hammers to bang them out

anyways its very involved as there are 18 major bushings on the car as well as swapping out sway bar bushings and end links and the radius rod bushings

if your car has high mileage or doesn't feel very tight then i would reccomend it.

I installed the ES bushings on my 90. Takes a while, but I'm now got a brand new suspension (with the addition of new springs & struts).

Well worth it at only $110 or so and your own labor.

ES parts are very good... and the 20 year old rubber parts on our cars now are most definitely not doing what they were designed to do anymore. You will definitely like what that kit does for you. It can just be a pain in the balls to install.

My advice, freeze the parts and the bushings before trying to uninstall the old and install the new. It will cause the rubber/urethane to shrink, making them MUCH easier to fit.

            IT'S THE MOTHERLOAD!!!!!!!!!!

Does it come with instructions? I think I'd get that and end up with a pile of parts I won't recognize.

Just don't buy a set from a shady seller on ebay... I've actually seen kits being sold with no instructions.

So if you properly apply the included grease you'll be set?

I used all of the grease sold to me equally in the kit. 2 or 3 little tube packets. Its been 3 yrs on the rear and 4 or 5 on the front.

I read somewhere that the difference between the red and black parts are how soon they'll squeak... I forget the details, and I never confirmed it to be true, but that thought just popped into my head.
