ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I hope he's ok!

That car was always cool. If it wasn't already wrecked when he decided to rust it, I'd have hated it... but he kinda revived it as a "zombie BMW", so the rusty thing was certainly cooler than letting it rot in a junkyard!
It'd be awesome if he found some way to still bring it back... we can call it Ashy now!

      Oh Noeoooeoeosssssss!!!!!!!!

I prefer the E30, but the E28 is perfectly acceptable.

      Who's Mike?
      MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

Much love and respect for old school BMWs. Shame to see all that work go up in flames. That was a bad ass car.

At least it was a detached garage, and didn't take the house with it.

                  That's a sick 3g up there...

Mike was working on an engine, some gas leaked and hit a wire on a battery and ignited the whole garage.

That was a cool car and I like how he brought it back and it'd be even cool if he brought it back again. I hope he's ok.

I dont know if this qualifies as "rude" or not but fire due to "unsafe shop habits" and then that 3G busted an oil pan and it's sitting that low...? Is it me or do they maybe need to reconsider how they do things?

Most car enthusiasts do things that they shouldn't do. 1) NONE of these cars were intended to be modified as we modify them. and 2) most of us don't have all the equipment to do the things we do the right way... Not saying that's a valid excuse for unsafe shop habits, but it's usually the case. Don't have the right tools? Improvise, and hope it doesn't kill you!

                            Wow im really bummed.

I found out about this car last year, and liked it so much i signed up over there to post in that thread and give him props. It is my only post.

I think what he did was amazing, simply because he enjoyed it and it was from a place of originality.

                            This was my favorite iteration-
