ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Our cars require 95 Octane

    Taken from Helms. Please explain.
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

Also notice that its for an f20z1 and f20z2?

They appear to be higher compression which is why.

So to answer your question " our cars do not require 95 octane " because this isn't for our cars

Not only that, but that is 95 RON octane.

In most countries, including Australia and all of those in Europe, the "headline" octane rating shown on the pump is the RON, but in Canada and the United States, the number is the average of the RON (Research Octane Number) and the MON (Motor Octane Number), called the Anti-Knock Index (AKI, and often written on pumps as (R+M)/2).

The AKI octane rating is usually 4-5 points lower than the RON octane rating, for the exact same fuel.

95 RON is equivalent to 91 AKI.

So that engine could even be run in California, where they only have 91 octane at the pump.

Here in Brazil, the fuel has 75% gasoline and 25% ethanol.

Much of the fuel in the US is 10% ethanol, I think.

                Really? What's their premium? 100?

Yep. Can't get 93 octane at the pump in CA... at least not the average pump. Some may have it. They have 87, 89, and 91.

That's one reason why you see most cars with a minimum octane requirement of 91, not 93.

Hell, I have my CB7 tuned on 92. That's what Wawa has. Why, I don't know.

Ooohh. I thought you were saying their minimum was 91, but that 91 was also their maximum. That makes more sense.

But, they also get all the cool things first. Like hydrogen civics.
