Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    opinions on what car to buy..

    so i just recently started at my new job for about 6 months now making about 30k a year. im still a temp but hopefully i get hired as permanent employee soon. my plan is to get a used car for my family of 3 after i get hired as a perm. im kind of stuck on what to get though. this car is going to be more for the gf and i'll be sticking with the cb7 of course . my current financial situation is like this..no rent, a few school bills, car insurance, and thats it lol. i live with my gf's family with our daughter. we dont pay rent, but we help out on bills tho, car insure we pay, anything our kid needs we pay. my plan is to let her test out a few cars in the near future so we can have general idea of what car she feels comfortable driving. i gota say tho, she's use to driving a sports car aka 3rd gen prelude. she had it for awhile til a bad crash happend. back on topic.. what are your thoughts or opinions on what car to get? shes likes the new crv at the moment..

    i am a mistu fan but besides that i got the Lancer GTS cus of my daughter, it has cross-beams on the doors, plus front and rear side air bags, also has 3 separate seat anchors for baby seats, for the money it was the best thing with the added comfort of safety.

        37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
        30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
        27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

            Why not move out and get your own place, then consider a new car?

                Do not buy a car now wait until you are more financially stable. You see there is alot of responsibility when owning a car. There is insurance, maintenance and other things you want to do in your spare time to have some money left over. So take your time until your place of employment is secure.
