ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Motor Mounts

This is in off topic because I don't know if it's something I've missed and is actually glaringly obvious

I read this thread which got me thinking:
I thought H22 swaps were common place, and anything else (like a K) required lots of welding and fabrication.
Because of the thread, I found this. That link makes me think K swaps are easy, and that there may be more mounts out there for other swaps.

Are there other mount kits for different engine swaps?

No. The K mounts are fairly new (and made possible thanks to Hasport and 2point6.)
    There are no J mounts.
There is no point for A, B, C, or D mounts.

Is/are Hasport the only company of it's kind?

Ie are there other companies making swap mounts?

Of course. Just not for our cars. Hasport is one of the biggest manufacurers of mounts for Hondas.

Place Racing used to make B swap mounts for the 3rd gen Accord, but they went under
("fuck you deev, i'm buying cheap knockoff parts and I don't care if the real companies go under because of it!"... yeah, talk to the 3geez guys about their limited aftermarket and see how much they like it! /unrelated rant.)

Good stuff. Now my plans are confuddled though

I wanted to get a prelude (CB7 H limited I thought), build the H to 300 hp. Put H in CB. Boost F22 to 40 psi and insert into Prelude.
          Race.

          I might have to get a K and find a 6 speed

Why not just get an H22 and a Prelude S?

IIRC the F22A flows well and holds up to boost.

Wiki says the Prelude S comes with an F22.

I want to take H22 out of a prelude, N/A it to 300 hp, then CB the H22.

The F22 coming out of the CB will be built and then put in the Prelude. I'll then use the prelude as a race car and the CB as a DD.
However, this K swap might have me change my plans...

Better do a little more research to support this "holds up to boost" claim...
And the F22A really only flows well after the head has been modified. The exhaust ports are pretty restrictive in stock form.

Do your research before you go buying cars for no good reason... It's these "hey, a random thought just passed through my head like an unexpected fart!" threads that are causing people to get irritated with you.
When you get technical, or attempt to, you're going to influence a rash of ignorant noobs asking the same thing you are (or worse, assuming your questions are statements of fact... which opens a whole new can of worms...)

The F22A head flows VERY well, and it does flow better than the H22 head. I'd trust Bisi on that one... he chose the motor for a reason. He's also a record holder for a reason. If the H22 head was a better choice, I'm sure he would've gone with that.

As for the F22B DOHC and H23, I can't say for certain. The room needed for the VTEC stuff on the H22 head is much of what limits the flow capabilities, so the non-VTEC DOHC heads MIGHT be better flowing...
