my mileage is terrible, though i run at about 2500rpm at 100kmh (60mph). my crappy mileage is due to a seeping gas leak. engine great, gas tank bad.

I drive sensibly for the most part and get 20

It depends on the temperature.

Summer: I went 90 for 60 miles. Filled up beforehand and filled up on the way home. 32 mpg. Best mpg ever.

Winter: 20-22 on average. The only maintenance I haven't done is spark plug seals and 5500 mile oil.

Are you a ding dong? How is a picture at 90 MPH and your RPM going to tell us why you are getting bad gas mileage? Are you concerned that your torque converter might be decoupling your engine from transmission more than normal while cruising? Check your ignition timing, air filter, and catalytic converter first.

and you are as mature as my dick on a blander, yea taking a pic at said circumstances might not be the best thing to do, but tell me you have NEVER talked on the phone and driven, or looked at a text and i will cut my balls and throw them in the river, and its usually helpful to read the entire thread before you go talking shit out your ass. (see: READ THE RULES) oh and just so you know, knowing how fast the engine is spinning CAN tell you what kind of MPG's you are getting, unless you drive a qweer Smart Car, you do know what the Tach does right. its not just another needle on your dash that looks cool, or a 5 inch gauge with a fancy light that tells other people you "race" your mom's AeroStar.

There are some members, myself included, who do their fair share of speeding. All the OP is asking is if another member can confirm the high RPM at 90mph; he never said for you to go out of your way to evaluate the RPM:Speed ratio.

anyways, Geoff, i should have my car back tomorrow so i'll let you know how the trannies compare as to MPG and takeoff, can't really do top speed, i hit 125MPH on the F22 tranny but gotta wait til i can go to the strip and gun it.

I am well aware of how a tachometer functions. Please enlighten me on how you can determine gas mileage from only how fast an engine is rotating. I was merely suggesting that if he knew what gear he was in, what the engine speed was, and what wheel the speed was, that maybe he could determine if there was a more than average power transfer loss between the crankshaft output and the transmission input. There is obviously going to be some loss between the two since they are connected by a viscous coupler (a torque converter). BUT, if the torque converter is not functioning correctly, that could result in poor fuel economy due to less torque being transferred from the crank to the transmission (lower efficiency). I assume you know how a viscous coupler operates. If not, go read a fluid mechanics book. You might learn something useful besides vulger language. And no, i do not text or talk on the phone when i am driving, so go ahead and do what you said you were going to do with your man parts i guess. Chill bro, its a technical help forum, not a go psycho crazy on someone because you don't understand or agree with what someone says forum.

nope, i havent fucked with the ECU at all. maybe its the fact that my VSS was all jacked up

EX/SE models have no speed governor.
