my mileage is terrible, though i run at about 2500rpm at 100kmh (60mph). my crappy mileage is due to a seeping gas leak. engine great, gas tank bad.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I drive sensibly for the most part and get 20
Summer: I went 90 for 60 miles. Filled up beforehand and filled up on the way home. 32 mpg. Best mpg ever.
Winter: 20-22 on average. The only maintenance I haven't done is spark plug seals and 5500 mile oil.MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.

Are you a ding dong? How is a picture at 90 MPH and your RPM going to tell us why you are getting bad gas mileage? Are you concerned that your torque converter might be decoupling your engine from transmission more than normal while cruising? Check your ignition timing, air filter, and catalytic converter first.

Can you do me a favor? Hold up one of your hands (it doesn't matter which one), make a fist. Shove it in your mouth. The whole thing.
Go back and re-read all the posts. Once you've done that, and realized why I asked that favor, you may remove your hand.MRT

Your an idiot.

About as mature as driving 90 down the road with your head in the dash taking a picture on your cell phone. So i'm not surprised or offended. Hope you got your gas mileage issue sorted out. I feel you did though with your insulting other members.
Is the language really necessary?
Why would I go driving around at 90mph in the first place?

This is getting out of hand.
Everyone from the last few posts has to calm down and reply respectfully to one another. This is textbook flaming, and it has to stop now.

haha didn't mean to flame, it just that Geoff asked a valid question and this kid just comes in to flame on how stupid he is without any valid input... just my 2 pennies.
anyways, Geoff, i should have my car back tomorrow so i'll let you know how the trannies compare as to MPG and takeoff, can't really do top speed, i hit 125MPH on the F22 tranny but gotta wait til i can go to the strip and gun it.Originally posted by scudweiserit will go vrooooooom bauggggghhhh mmmmmmaauuugggg. lordoja,
I am well aware of how a tachometer functions. Please enlighten me on how you can determine gas mileage from only how fast an engine is rotating. I was merely suggesting that if he knew what gear he was in, what the engine speed was, and what wheel the speed was, that maybe he could determine if there was a more than average power transfer loss between the crankshaft output and the transmission input. There is obviously going to be some loss between the two since they are connected by a viscous coupler (a torque converter). BUT, if the torque converter is not functioning correctly, that could result in poor fuel economy due to less torque being transferred from the crank to the transmission (lower efficiency). I assume you know how a viscous coupler operates. If not, go read a fluid mechanics book. You might learn something useful besides vulger language. And no, i do not text or talk on the phone when i am driving, so go ahead and do what you said you were going to do with your man parts i guess. Chill bro, its a technical help forum, not a go psycho crazy on someone because you don't understand or agree with what someone says forum.
