ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Selling / trading / buying / swaps in beginner sections

There is NO Buying / selling / trading / free offerings / service's allowed in the beginner sections!!!

    That means:
No - You have "X" part available, Can I buy it off you?
No - I'm Looking for "X" part does somebody have it?
No - I have "X" part for sale, anybody want to buy it?
No - I'll swap you "X" part for "X" part.
No - Can you do a job for me, and I'll pay you to do it?
No - I have "X" part for free, Anybody want it?

This is just a reminder as I have seen more of it recently, Maybe its because holiday season is coming up, or because we seem to have quite a few new people signing up lately.

Either way, You will be banned if these threads are seen, or if it is seen inside an existing thread.
    That goes for PM's too.

    Thanks guys.

Can we do: "You have X part available, can we move to the classifieds?"?

No. People with under 30 posts cannot access the classifieds. That section is not even visible to them.

Any mention of buying/selling/trading in this section is cause for a ban. That ban may be temporary or permanent. That is at the discretion of the banning moderator. One of the biggest reasons for this Beginner Forum was to keep "scammers" from doing business on this site. It has worked quite well. We take that very seriously.

I think that's because this site is starting to populate the Google searches. When somebody has a problem with their Honda CB7 tends to pop up on the first page.

Your probably right which supports the system even better.

90% of those people are probably transients who may or may not look to scam newbs on the internet....so for that reason alone there is no hanky panky in the beginners section.....unless Deev is allowed to participate

            What a bummer.

What is the point if there is already a thread, or should I say announcement made by Customlowz about it?

Because clearly people don't read it.

People never read the rules. I'm used to it. However, I still expect them to follow the rules.

If we're in a good mood, we warn them, and direct them to the rules. I RARELY ban someone without warning for breaking the rules. They are usually alerted to what they're doing, given the chance to delete the post that is in violation, or they are then banned... usually only temporarily, unless they have very few posts, and all are worthless and/or breaking the rules. If the very first thing you have to post on here is "i'm selling my wheels"... you are banned. Your IP is logged, and we keep an eye out for your return under a new name... then the IP is banned, and you may no longer even view this site.

                      What's your point?

4386 views is nothing on the 27,000 registered members, and 109 views just looks even worse.

You're wasting more time typing than you did reading.

If you are one of the members that have read the rules in the first place then there shouldn't be a need for you to read any threads like this since YOU KNOW what your suppose to be doing and what your not.
