ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It would be better to get opinions after you do it and post pictures, rather than use the opinions of others to decide how you want to make your car look.

Personally, I like the idea, if you can keep it clean.

I think flat or matte black would be cool. Especially if the entire car was like that. But I think if you were going to go show it off then you may want some sort of highlighting system to allow people to see. Maybe black lights you could switch on and off?

One thing though, black absorbs the heat, so you will have a hotter running engine...

I doubt it'll make that much of a difference.

you should get the valve cover and the head and the block dipped so its clean as hell, then get your valve cover painted stock wrinkle black, and paint everything else black excluding the header, polish it very well and make sure not to touch it at all (so when you put it on it heat colors it self with out finger prints because of the oil secreted by your skin.) including your tranny so it looks as though your "stockish" motor is just floating there. very sexy.

Black would be clean, but IMO there's nothing cleaner than an. All chrome engine! With black accessories, ill try to find some pics of my old cb7's engine bay..... Chrome headers is what catches peoples first glimpse, then the chrome valve cover, with chrome aftermarket intake manifold, finished off with chrome SRI & chrome strut bar......gotta find those pics....

I say do it! What your engine bay itself? If you leave it your cars color, clean the heck out of it before you drop in the engine.I have a feeling that when and if you do it,its gonna be awesome! Hope to see some pictures in the future.Good luck with everything.
