Well I'm more jack of all trades at the moment but I'm looking into getting residential electrical or plumbing experience/training. I'd like to, at some point, flip a house. Being able to do drywall and molding and swapping light fixtures and all the other misc work I do is helpful and all but the biggest money (to be made, or to save) is in electrical and plumbing.

Resi electrical work is cake. Roping houses is simple. The company I work for just doesn't bid many of those jobs cause all the money is in commercial work right now.

Sounds good but since I'm a sub, there are never steady hours and i have to work around my school schedule as well.

Job: Lead Teller of the SUNY New Paltz Credit Union branch, for the past 5 years. For the past few school seasons I have been working part time, while full time in the summers.
Pay: 14.25 / hr

Recently quit this job (on my 5 year anniversary!) in order to give myself more time to finish my last semester of school, as well as give myself sufficient time to get a couple new business ventures off the ground. One of which (http://www.allymedical.com/) I have been working on with a designer for over a year, and its ready for clients to sign up, we just don't have a lot of them yet... so I can't say its a real paying job yet, but it certainly takes up more of my time and energy than a full time job would! Though considering existing clients love it, and we already have received offers to license out our service, I'd say it isn't far off before this starts turning a profit! The other venture, is where I am working with a school friend to create a device that will be marketed toward pet (dog) owners. My goal is to graduate this December, having made my own job/position ("VP technology") instead of trying to apply at places. If that doesn't work, the Credit Union is already offering to hire me back as an IT guy... Maybe, if I have time between all of my web development and prototype engineering...
