Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    How much do you guys pay for your internet?

    I managed to get a 15Mbit connection for $20. Took me half hr of bs to get it down to that rate . There is no download cap as well, bcoz.. well they dont really monitor downloads.

    I wonder how much do you guys pay for yours?

    $75. sucks big time. Nobody else offers high speed. I thought monopolies were illegal...

      $80/month for high speed Internet and 300+ channels.

          I pay like $30 a month for cable internet. I have triple play with cablevision. So its $30 for cable internet, $35 for phone, and $65 for cable tv with dvr with extra channels

            Paying close to $40 per month for comcast low grade 1mbps. Way overpriced and there are no other isp's around here to compete with them. I would need to pay another 10 per month for 15mbps.

              yea but thats for a year and goes up right after. I was there and now pay $49.95 a month 7mb

                thats actually a really good price.

                the only internet i personally pay for is the $30 data plan for my phone. otherwise, my parents pay $65/mo for 25mb FiOS...

                    He's in Canada... so monopoly laws may be different. I'm not sure how they work there.

                    Of course, when the cable company started offering high speed around here, they were the only ones until FiOS came around.


                    I currently pay $67 a month for cable and internet (it's actually cheaper for basic cable and internet than it is for internet alone!) and my modem rental (which is $5 a month) I have Comcast, and the cable speed really is fantastic. I have absolutely no problems. If anything goes slowly, it's because of my computer, not my cable connection.

                    I think my neighbor works for Comcast. I wish I got friendly with him... I'd ask him to set up his wireless internet so I could use it, since he gets it for free!

                        $30 a month for tethering for my phone (granfathered in as Alltel, even though Verizon charges $60 ) plus about $70 a month for satellite (WildBlue).

                            we pay 40 for 7mbps from AT&T...its alright, except their modems always want to give out for some reason. Were on our second modem.
