Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

they are like a mini version of a CB coupe... its a honda, of course its good, its only a matter of whether or not you found a good one in particular, and if its a "good" car for your requirements.... barely any aftermarket support, so it depends what you plan to do with it as a project.

cb7lx91 and I just scored a '90 Prelude Si we're playing with. We want to boost her up and tune the suspension for the local circuit track racing venue.
although, little aftermarket support like mike said, like every other early 90s car - they have been toyed with and "souped up" just need to start searching.

get it, mike is right about the aftermarket part but it seems to be pretty light and would make a great sleeper, i always liked those cars, it was the first five speed car that i drove here in Georgia back when i was 16; all i remember is that it was fun to drive (just drove it around the neighborhood) and something else that grabbed my attention was how sporty it was, and i did not know much about hondas back then, heck you know what im about to start looking for one myself, a local guy here has one and he keeps it clean, simple, but clean, if i find one, one of the first things that i would do to it is to have the headlights come up halfway, like they do the old rx7s and the 240s, i love that look, and i would at least put an H23 in there, they go for about 500; plus you would be tuning another car that most of those civic cats dont know about

no theres not much aftermarket for them so alot of parts have to be made to fit but over all they are alot of fun to drive the h22 swap is more costlier and more work involved than doing an accord but the 91 is obd1 which is a plus .
which moter does it have have hopefully the b20 which is a lot better of an engine the b21 are known to be big oil burners and they have aluminion rings frm cylinder walls so thats something to consider as well.
if its the four well steering model I will be will be in envy of cause mine isnt I currently have an 88 si that I,m slowly trying to make into better car mainly it needs a little body work and a paint jobneeding a new project got rid of bagged S10 going back to Honda's

Your first one was sweet looking! How old is that picture?
The 3rd gen Prelude has about as much aftermarket as the 3rd gen Accord... which isn't much. However, like the 3rd gen Accord, the Prelude has a fair amount of potential. The engines aren't the greatest for performance (though better than the 3g Accord's A20A). The suspension is nice, and they look quite good when they're in good shape (as seen above).
Believe it or not, the CB7 has a better aftermarket... but otherwise, it's a great project. They were VERY well received by the critics and public when they first came out. The 3rd gen Prelude shares many design cues from the NSX (I don't know which design was conceived first, but the Prelude definitely beat the NSX to production!)

that picture was taken about four years ago it was a fun car but under powered compared to an si i sold that one after i bought my black one
yeah unfortantly there is much aftermarket for them but u can make them perform quite well even with the orignal motors if u have enough money to build it theres one i know of in fact i think it,s on streetfire.net just type in baker12 his is like 400 whp it is sick
but overall they are fun cars to own and drive
they are defintly different than a cb7 and im not putting down cb7,s either cause i,ll probally get another I,m thinking a wagon I,d love to put an h22 in one and their alot easier to do a swap in than a 3rd gen preludeLast edited by mysticude; 09-14-2008, 03:32 AM.needing a new project got rid of bagged S10 going back to Honda's

yeah the h22 is a common swap now but you have to custom mounts that are 500 dollars and you can only get them from az race mounts you have to use customs axles as well I,m waiting to till they decide to make b series mounts for the the 3rd gen cause I,d like to do a gsr swap in mine and the shifter lincage has to be figured out as well unlike the h series there not cable
yeah the cb is a much easier car to to do the h swapneeding a new project got rid of bagged S10 going back to Honda's

They're rod shifters in the 3rd gen?
Adding a cable shifter isn't that hard. It's doing it the other way around (rods in a cable-equipped car) that's a pain!
At this point, a K series would probably be the one to hold out for. Anything is going to require custom stuff, so you might as well use new technology! The aftermarket is growing for the K, unlike the B/D/F/H, which is going to begin shrinking as they become less common (and K equipped cars become more commonly tuned).
At least the H/F CAN be put into the 3rd gen Lude. The 3rd gen Accord isn't so lucky! The rear crossmember gets in the way. It simply won't fit unless you do some MAJOR work (one guy I've seen did a full tube frame front end!)

the 3rd gens are cable so to do the b series it would have to be figured out and right now on prelude power.com there are some people trying to figure out the k series and to see if its a possible swap the k series is to much money for meneeding a new project got rid of bagged S10 going back to Honda's
